Most of India is occupied by farmers. They don't even do anything productive. Only 18% of GDP is from farming in spite of occupying close to 80% of land and keeping 50% of the population in unproductive economic activity. They don't pay income tax. They keep asking for MSP, loan waiver, etc. essentially redistriburion from 1% of productive Indians.
How long do we allow our finite land resources, limited financial capacity on these forever burden, aka farmers.
When few trees get cut for better infrastructure for productive cities fake environmental activists protest and destroy progress.
Do these activists not have the guts to ask farmers to improve the environment by creating more green cover?
A healthy society requires individuals who emphasize care and fairness to protect the vulnerable, as well as those who emphasize loyalty and authority to preserve social cohesion and continuity.
Each orientation corrects the excesses of the other.
