@mahdi_tcs Yeah, this does not apply to NSF yet. We do have computer service fee @$156/month of budgeted CSE personnel (student, postdoc, faculty) which allows the dept to recoup some money from grants.

@mahdi_tcs UB CSE requires budgeting percentage of AY time depending on the size of my portion of the grant - .5 month for 50k/yt, 1 month for 100k/yr. Some of that comes back to me as indirect recovery though. Some goes to the school and dept

@ShriramKMurthi A little more lead time for reviews. I review for CSR/FRR and the lead time is 3-4 weeks which is not enough for the number of proposals we need to review. Unlike papers, proposals are more diverse in nature requiring more background reading to do a reasonable job.
