As mayor of the city with the largest Jewish population outside Israel, millions of Jewish New Yorkers expect @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani to protect them at a time of surging anti-Semitism.

But he just can’t pass up an opportunity to demonize Israel and attack the Jewish community.

His accusation that @AIPAC—or any mainstream pro-Israel advocacy—is a “monster” moving “dark money” invokes blatant anti-Semitic tropes and the age-old conspiracy of Jewish influence over centers of power.

We can read between the lines. When political leaders like Mamdani employ these classic dog-whistles, it serves only one purpose: to mask anti-Semitism under the guise of policy critique, using words like “dark” to instill fear and incite hostility toward Jewish people.
