Sr Product Manager @lululemon, formerly product team @voltathletics, various contract gigs @microsoft and elsewhere - seattle/remote πΊπΈπ¨π¦ - DMs open!
I have the best Friday calendar. Tech call on major initiative to talk solution and architecture. Product analytics call to improve how we measure. Some focus time. User research plan review. 1:1s to talk shop and connect across orgs. A little bit of everything and I love it.
@nickcammarata@paulg I took the og tweet as: assume Iβm 10x more capable than I think I am in any given situation, what actions would I take?
The thought itself is the first step to actually taking those actions. It feels like giving yourself allowance to take a perceived risk.
@shreyas@scottastevenson Can you expand on dogma and mental garbage?
I feel like Iβm at the 5-7 yr floor and maybe confidence in approach is what I am missing. I record actions and results, which speak for themselves, but am not comfortable to fully attribute results to how I operate.
@hkarthik Iβm someoneβs DR with this career goal and reflecting on your frame just shifted how I might operate in my org so thank you for this share!

2. 7 Powers by Hamilton Helmer
Bonus: @patrick_oshag and the Invest like the Best podcast. Secretly the best Product podcast IMO
@GeePawHill Thank you for the thread. Do you have any recommendations to learn about the "when" and "why"? Especially as related to now richer understanding?
@tommycollison Continuous Discovery Habits by @ttorres ... nearly every page has a possibly useful insight for product discovery. Feels like years of experience distilled, ~250 pages of value. I'd pay triple for it.
@mar15sa@baggspipes@engineering_bae Can "larger underlying issue" also be "team is learning how to work better together"? The former quote makes me think dysfunction when cause might be due to where the team is at in its journey.
If we equate hello world as enough understanding to compile, output, and view I would say it's exemplar of fast feedback. PdM equivalent could be generating a problem statement and showing it to someone else for the first time.
@GergelyOrosz App store returns(ed?) an array of subscriptions for a user. We assumed in the same order every time. They switched it up and our app started blocking valid users. Straightforward-ish debug and fix, but oh the pain at the time :(
My fave conference and agile community. The jump to virtual last year was so smooth and I'm grateful for all the folk who put this together and the community that attends!
Alex & Kelly, co-chairs of #AONW 2022, invite you to share your presence, energy & insight at our virtual Open Space gathering! This yearβs there: Agile Is Art. Come create with us on 28β30 March 2022. Registrations are open right now at https://t.co/4dphMSw5U8 β only US$60!
@boyney123@GergelyOrosz Building the mobbing muscle is so worth it. Also have to avoid the mob turning passive. Big fan of identifying something to mob once a week or each sprint as a starting point or experiment!
@johncutlefish I've often framed demo as an explicit chance for dev/prod team and stakeholders to discuss (hopefully not the 1st time) the product increment and how it relates to business goals. What did the biz learn the last two weeks and how might it change the backlog? Obv depends on org.
Another shout out for Agile Open NW which is Mon-Wed of next week!
Can't wait to see how the team runs a virtual open space conference. Half day schedules and ~$60 is a steal and totally worth it if you're curious.
