@KCDavisSays That happened to my friend recently and the answer was “absolutely”.
Our whole family also had the rabies shots as a precaution before travelling once and it was no different than any other course of vaccination.
@patriciaorpat@Patricia_Ann_E Yes. Good points.
And we’re also talking about the cloth like bags that stores are now selling as an alternative. I’m not sure the material exactly but it’s not cotton, it’s not as sturdy either. @SafewayCanada bags even say “hand wash”. Definitely not a sustainable option.
@ItsAngInLA@chydorina@remissionbiome That’s my go to for years. 1mg doxepin, 1mg melatonin, and magnesium.
Layered onto a good sleep hygiene routine (eg low lights, no screen, body scanning meditation, etc).
“In Finland, the # of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

@brokeandweird Love this!
I have a sticker on our mailbox and I like to think it’s like the block parent signs of the 80s/90s.
As a queer kid growing up in a small town I remember very distinctly the few overt signs of queer culture around me and how it made me feel not so alone.
Going to get a little controversial here, but if your child comes out at school and not to you, your questions shouldn’t be with your child, or with their teacher. You should really be questioning yourself.
Cis isn't a slur, it's a descriptive adjective just like "apartheid benefactor" or "divorced" or "hated so much by my kids that they changed their name so as to have nothing to do with me"
This is why you don't bow down to hate. This is why you don't cancel Pride events or marketing campaigns or anything because loud, angry people want to disrupt progress.
When you bow down to hate, it doesn't go away. It gets emboldened.

@unfortunatalie @MattFoxhill Loop earplugs that allow some of the noise through are helpful!
I find salons overwhelming - blow dryers, chatter, music - wearing loops still allow conversation/questions if needed from the stylists but muffle the overwhelming noise.
I used to leave appts exhausted; not now.
In 2019, I knocked on +10,000 doors. The majority of people told me they wanted the @Alberta_UCP to bring jobs back. We made progress over the last 4 yrs. & can't afford to go back.
Advance polls are open until 8 p.m. Find one near you: https://t.co/bDVtMiT7Qb #TeamUCP#RedDeer
Nagwan Al-Guneid is an energy expert, a mother and one of the Globe and Mail’s 50 Changemakers reinventing how Canada does business.
She’s also the next MLA for Calgary-Glenmore!
But she’s in a tight race and she needs your support: https://t.co/TPJc4uPHgV @NagwanYYC
Thinking of voting UCP “because of the economy”? Think again! New study shows UCP’s “trickle down” policies have hurt, not helped the Alberta economy. Wage growth, economic growth, investment all dismal under UCP. #abvotes#FireTheUCP#abpoli#abvote https://t.co/CPEKGFP4m8
@ErinInTheMorn Exactly. Last year I started to notice how many big brands made their pride posts on social media with comments turned off. Call. Them. Out.
