Last week, I successfully defended my PhD on RNA editing in neurodegeneration! It's been an absolute pleasure to work with @RitaSattler & the lab @BarrowNeuro and my PhD committee. Excited to keep doing some more science with everyone before I return to M3 rotations @uazmedphx!

The 2nd C9orf72 FTD/ALS Summit drew 80+ scientists, clinicians, & stakeholders to advance our understanding of #C9orf72-associated #neurodegeneration. The 3-day summit reinforced the urgent need for #translationalresearch & cross-disciplinary collaboration to combat #ALS & #FTD.

Yesterday was the last day of our 2024 summer internship program ⁦⁦@BarrowNeuro⁩! 38 undergraduate and 13 HS students joined BNI - including 5 in our lab! It was terrific to see everyone’s enthusiasm and passion! Paving the way for the next generation of neuroscientists!
