@lowworksuk Congrats on the approval! Timestamped, geotagged photos on move-in day is such a practical idea, deposit arguments are the worst. Pressing release tonight or saving it for a good day?
@Sandip_Lawate That last line is painfully true. Every time I use one of my own apps for a full day I end up deleting a screen I was proud of π Good luck with the final stretch of testing!
@waveofgoals That's the way to do it. A paid tier nobody gets nagged about is the kind people actually end up wanting. Which extra features are you thinking of putting in it?
Tiny confession: I quit almost every habit tracker I ever downloaded. Too many streaks, too much guilt.
So with GemDot I kept it small. Small habits, one gem a day. That's it.
What's the one habit you keep trying to stick to?
@asharsv As a user, a useful free tier every time. A 3-day trial puts me on a clock before I even know if I like the thing. Wearing my dev hat I totally get why trials convert better though
@LotiamDev Refreshing App Store Connect every ten minutes never makes it go faster, sadly π A map built for people on foot is such a good idea. Good luck, hope the approval lands today!
@Husakouski24 Squeezing a whole app into a few sentences is weirdly harder than building it π Explaining it out loud to a friend first and then cutting usually gets me closer. Fingers crossed it gets picked!
@plainandsimpl_ Sign in with Apple is about the most polite way to bend a rule π Does the journal sync across devices then? That'd make the bend totally worth it.
@simranlockapp Ha, the feature that says no being the favourite makes total sense. The friction is the whole point. Can't wait to hear how it shakes out!
@MarkockiAdam The nudge vs nagging line is so tricky. I think letting people pick the time themselves and never sending a second reminder the same day goes a long way. Not shipping for 27.2 yet, still catching my breath after launching π
@RobbieKostrzewa Oh I like that a rest day gets its own colour instead of a blank spot. Makes a break feel like part of the habit, not a failure. Fingers crossed for review π€
@rishilautomate Honestly that's the whole bet π Watching something shiny pile up works on me way better than a number ever did. What keeps you consistent on the building side?
@ferrraridave69 Ah, so the lock screen controls were skipping the widget path completely. Tying the refresh to the player's actual state is way cleaner than chasing every entry point. Nice catch!
Hot take: most productivity problems are really "too many apps" problems.
Tasks here, calendar there, notes somewhere else, timer in yet another app.
That's why iFocus Plus puts all four in one place. One purchase, done.
What does your setup look like?
@asharsv Honestly same, I'm a week into this myself. What I'm trying right now is asking people real questions instead of pushing features, and it's way more fun too. Want to swap notes in a couple of weeks on what actually worked?
@rishilautomate Guilty on one count π I shipped a habit tracker this month, but also a focus timer and a budget app. In my defense, mine turns your streak into gems on a necklace
@ferrraridave69 This is the stuff nobody notices but everybody feels. A widget stuck on the wrong state after pausing from the lock screen would bug me every time too. Was reloading the widget timelines after the intent enough, or did it get messier?
Subscriptions are sneaky. A few euros here, a few there, and suddenly you're paying for stuff you forgot you signed up for.
That's why I built Kassio: bills and subscriptions in one place, no bank login.
Try it and tell me what's missing π
