The TWU is gearing up for a massive fight with @MTA and @GovKathyHochul as we approach our @TWULocal100 NYC Transit Workers’ contract expiration on May 15th. @transportworker fully expects Hochul & MTA CEO Janno Lieber to demand lowball wage and concessions (OPTO, Part-Timers, Degradation of Healthcare, etc) Kathy Hochul may talk a good game about being pro-trade union but actions speak louder than words. She is currently scabbing the @nynurses strike, allowing the bosses to hire unlicensed nurses & less than a year ago she fired 2K striking NYS Correction Officers. Hochul is no pro-worker Governor and @transportworker ain’t believing the lie that she is. We aren’t going to be beaten, we are are going to aggressively fightback and when the dust settles, the Two-Worker Train Crews will remain, there’ll be no Part-Timers in our contract and our health benefits will remain in tact. NYC Transit Workers will prevail.

Rentals for a 2Bedroom in Queens start at around $3,000 a month and more depending where you are looking to live. Working people are forced to move out of the city just to afford rent then tax you for coming into the city (Congestion Pricing) Either there was no foresight or???
