This week we looked at the Maps app. She had used the app before but needed assistance on a few things. For example, she wanted to add some locations to her favorites and wanted to know how to select a route that would avoid highways. @YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

Today, I taught my grandma how to use the Mail app on her iPhone. She was familiar with the basic features but had questions about forwarding, attachments, and sharing links. I also showed her how to flag emails that are important. @YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

She has learned a lot of helpful skills and seems to be enjoying the lessons. How did your learner feel?

@miss_sam22 @YEPeducation Hi Samantha, it is good that your learner realizes that she needs to practice between sessions. Learning an instrument is very difficult and it is easy to forget what you've learned if you are only doing it once a week.

@mwaseem48 @YEPeducation This is such a good lesson idea. This is a very useful lesson especially when it comes to news about Covid and the election. My grandma always seems to tell me the most outlandish news stories. I might have to borrow this idea for my lesson new week😂

This is the reflection I asked my Grandma to fill out. It was illuminating because through Q3 I found out that she was comfortable with teaching someone how to use her phone calendar but not other skills. It showed me what we need to work on. @YEPeducation #letsteachadults
