Active droplet gets deformed & does zigzag motion with puller-neutral-pusher swimming mode switching. An observation in our recent study revealed how bulk viscoelastic media affects dynamics of active droplets. link https://t.co/zErDHJCAsn #activedroplet#activeparticle@mangalr
Coverage by @amitabhsin in @IndianExpress of our @softmatter paper on microplastics from tyre wear
Tyres give off micro and nanoparticles. Many more nanoparticles form (and stay suspended) when vehicles are heavier and/or driven faster.

Sébastien Michelin and I would like to advertise the immediate opening of a PhD position at LadHyX (École Polytechnique, France) in joint supervision with UBC (Canada).
Excited to present of our latest study unveiling intriguing findings on pair-interactions in chemically active micro-droplets. Our work provides strong experimental evidence highlighting the dominant chemical interactions at lower Pe which is linked to their chemical polarity.
Additionally, the study highlights how droplet trajectories in droplet-trail interactions deviate from reflection expectations, and rebound instead, a phenomenon also linked to the droplet's inherent chemical polarity. https://t.co/9hXc1HWH2E @mangalr#activedroplets#softmatter
