🔁 RT if you’d add radar tech to your Pi!

@random_walker I agree.
AI’s ability to spot hidden errors is a parallel to radar sensing for the digital world: constantly scanning, catching what we might miss.
But just like with radar, smart tools shouldn’t replace human judgement — they should support it, not let us switch off entirely!
As part of our prep for the #radarchallenge for the 2025 IEEE Radar Conference, our young researchers have been busy experimenting with the Phaser (CN0566) from #AnalogDevices.
From high-tech setups to improvised targets: yes, that's a scooter! 😉
Curious? Stay tuned!
Had a blast talking about the DreamHAT+ radar at last night’s Raspberry Pint meetup 🍻 at the Duke of Sussex!
Huge thanks to Richard for hosting, and to Tony & John for seriously cool talks on Picos, GPIO, and custom languages.
Great vibes, great crowd, great Pi-powered ideas!
@iotforall Totally agree — it’s amazing how IoT sensors can breathe new life into older machines.
Even compact setups using Raspberry Pi and modern sensors like radar can provide real-time insights for smarter maintenance and better efficiency.
@Raspberry_Pi Nice improvement!
Managing lots of devices just got easier 😀
We run multiple sensors on Raspberry Pi devices, so quick access is super helpful.
Looking forward to using this update!
Range-Doppler plots are a classic radar visualisation tool. They show how far objects are and how fast they’re moving. The centre line represents no motion. Anything below is moving toward the radar, above is moving away.
Watch the DreamHAT+ track a person walking back and forth.
Even with unpredictable movement, the DreamHAT+ nails it. 🎯
Our ready-to-go, built-in example tracks people walking around — no cameras yet high-precision!
How would you use the 60 GHz mm-wave radar HAT with your Raspberry Pi ?

@geerlingguy@smartereveryday I use the ‘Bristle-free’ Grillaholics scrubber...
Cheap (as it’s from China) but does a great job on my Weber Smoky Mountain!
@IoTchannel Good to see innovation in sensing tech—video, drones, wearables, and LiDAR
Let’s not forget RADAR sensing too—compact, privacy-preserving, and perfect for real-time motion and presence detection.
A game-changer for smart environments and worker safety in IoT.
