Long time subscriber, Jesse. Enjoy your content immensely. But just a thought that the same criticism could have been said about BTC bulls after the halving and all the predictions of $200k+++ by year end. Instead it fell 50% recently. Especially with crypto, we all should stay humble because it makes us all look like morons at times.
@herbertong@JOBhakdi@nymbusjp This wasn't obvious a year ago when RoboTaxi launched? Anyone who's started a business knows everything takes much longer than hoped. The sheer complexity of trying to launch driverless ride hailing should tells us it's years, not months to scale.
@niccruzpatane Knew this would happen. Problem is Waymo went to market first with lidar, etc. Now regulators want the same redundancy or Tesla will need to prove it from ground zero, just like Waymo did. I don't see it as irrational at all.
@amitisinvesting I stand with Iranian people who were shot in the streets for merely protesting. I stand with Israel, USA, Ukraine, and against IRGC, it's proxies, Putin.
@BuzzPatterson With Jewish heritage it's terrifying to see the spirit of Nazi'ism rising in Europe all over again. It validates the reason Jews needed their own nation. No place is safe for very long for Jews. I stand with Israel, Ukraine, Iranian people (not Iranian regime).
@garyblack00 Love Tesla, but the way fanboys dismiss Uber / Waymo and others as though Tesla will flip a switch an leapfrog over the entire industry is silly. Competition is formidable, and driverless ride hailing won't even be a "thing" if Tesla delays much longer with full scale ramp up.
@garyblack00 I agree with Tesla bulls on the ultimate outcome, but their timing seems wildly unrealistic. Robo Taxi will take much longer than they assess IMO.
It's taken years to transition from autos to autonomous. I knew it would be much longer than Jo's optimism. But I'd guess tipping point is soon for FSD / Robo Taxi to materially improve sales / margins. You were early, Jo, but not wrong. Might be Q2 earnings call when stock finally rips.
I wonder if Trump concluded we set IRGC back many years for now, but taking it further risked drone swarms raining on entire mid-east oil infrastructure, $400/barrel, global recession. So we did what's possible now, and will seek to collapse regime via covert operations, arming Iranians, etc.
@chickengenius Been in $SATS for over a year. No-brainer way to participate in SpaceX IPO as it acquired pre-IPO shares in exchange for spectrum bandwidth. Post-IPO I'll be dumping though.
IRGC with nuke had to be destroyed. Trump can seem goofy, but history will thank him for dealing with this. The rest of the job might take awhile via covert support to arm Iranians to take their country back. But near term USA and Israel did entire world a big favor. Any other view is naive.
Radical Muslims were about to get a nuke and they just annihilated tens of thousands of Iranians in the streets. We had once in generation opportunity to set IRGC back for years, at minimum, and possibly setup regime collapse. Trump saw it and had to take it. Yes, short term it's a bit messy, but long term history will remember this favorably. It's not always about keeping things tidy short term. Think bigger picture.
@chickengenius Chicken killed it with Tesla 2020, made $ millions as I recall, and went to cash 2021 immediately before 75% crash. Since then I pay attention to his insights.
@Bubblebathgirl So Cal resident my entire life. Literally everywhere is beautiful EXCEPT the big two cities that are controlled by insanely stupid special interests.
