Incredibly irresponsible from Elle Macpherson: Holistic therapy is NOT valid treatment for breast cancer. So entitled that a multimillionaire with access to best healthcare advises women to ignore medical advice. Ample evidence this bullshit kills people

An excellent clinical teaching resource - brief video vignettes about healthcare workplace culture from the verbatim play Grace Under Pressure, all real stories from real healthcare workers, beautifully acted. https://t.co/50GIU6xYRT
In Rafah I saw new graveyards fill with children. It is unimaginable that worse could be yet to come | James Elder | The Guardian https://t.co/k0JzrBCDAb
@BjsOpen@ZNaseemGSA Hmm interesting. I wonder what are the clinical implications of the results?
Also, it looks like there were more pneumonias and UTIs in the open group. Reading the first paragraph of the stats plan, the results were never going to achieve statistical significance...
Today @WCKitchen lost several of our sisters and brothers in an IDF air strike in Gaza. I am heartbroken and grieving for their families and friends and our whole WCK family. These are people…angels…I served alongside in Ukraine, Gaza, Turkey, Morocco, Bahamas, Indonesia. They are not faceless…they are not nameless. The Israeli government needs to stop this indiscriminate killing. It needs to stop restricting humanitarian aid, stop killing civilians and aid workers, and stop using food as a weapon. No more innocent lives lost. Peace starts with our shared humanity. It needs to start now.
Christmas in Palestine this year. The Child under the rubble. Immanuel God is with us in our pain and suffering. God in solidarity with the oppressed. The child of Bethlehem is our hope. For the children of Gaza and all victims of wars.

I've just invoked Art.99 of the UN Charter - for the 1st time in my tenure as Secretary-General.
Facing a severe risk of collapse of the humanitarian system in Gaza, I urge the Council to help avert a humanitarian catastrophe & appeal for a humanitarian ceasefire to be declared.
We couldn’t get him out and he died painfully with no access to medical care or pain relief for an abdominal blast injury. I honestly don’t know how much more our staff can take.
Two @MSF doctors in north Gaza were killed by a strike today. The situation is deteriorating daily. The injured cannot evacuate because of non stop fighting. We need a ceasefire now.
Today a team representing the United Nations bodies @UN visited us at Al Shifa hospital. We explained that the hospital is out of medical supplies, food, electricity, and water for over a week, and they have to take action to evacuate the patients outside the hospital.
The @UN team replied that no ambulance is allowed to evacuate patients from the hospitals, as Israel is still doing military operations around the hospital which will remain for days.
Currently, more than 300 patients are at Al Shifa hospital, all of them are with an amputated limb, in the ICU rooms, or babies in the incubator.
If no action is taken, patients will die.
@MJTB1987@bobfunn If epi unsuitable or difficult (tbh our surgeons don’t like them all that much), then next step usually spinal with ITM. Intra-op ligno can be added in this case.
Most of the medical staff and patients had left Al Shifa hospital, as the Israeli occupation army ordered everyone to evacuate the hospital. Many patients can not leave the hospital as they are in the ICU beds or the baby incubators.
I along with 5 other doctors, will stay at Alshifa hospital with 120 patients (as patients can not leave due to their health conditions). We call the @ICRC@ICRC_ilot@WHO to take action to protect the medical staff and patients at Al Shifa hospital.
