Everyone seems to have a different definition of what an AI agent is.

Let’s define it in the context of building with LLMs.

An AI agent is a system that can:

1. Make dynamic decisions about information flow
2. Maintain state across multiple interactions
3. Use tools adaptively
4. Modify their approach based on results

That means, AI agents need all the relevant information about past interactions, the available tools, tool results, and more to make the right decisions.
