Gm fellow Amphorians,
Time has come to deploy the #Amphor's Official Community Quests!
Bringing together Whitelisters, DeFi knowers and DGN farmers, the first phase includes a set of campaigns dedicated to Amphor pre-launch.
Our Journey start here : https://t.co/xv3VJqZjpt🧭🔥
I made this video using AI.
It crossed 1M views & 20k subs in 3 weeks:
- with only one video
- on a brand new YouTube channel
- 100% organically (0 external promotion)
Making this channel the first in history to achieve this.
Here's how.
Day 22: another user test to validate the delivery of our plans, and ideas to improve the responsiveness to what we're suggesting; met up with the wonderful @WeAreYoke's Jide who was generous with advice and ideas 🙏; also need to work on the pitch when still identifying problems
Day 21: wrote down our user, chat and "new plan" flow including our edge functions and frontend; identified potential folks to speak to that might have a problem we can address; going to add more descriptions to our landing page based on the work of @hubermanlab 😍
We used the "Ikea effect" to increase conversion by 82%.
Here's why and how.
The Ikea effect is a "cognitive bias in which consumers place a disproportionately high value on products they partially created".
We wanted to do 2 things in our product:
1. Increase conversion (getting users to ask more questions on their 1st use)
2. Educate them about some of the customisations that were available.
We thought:
"What if we made the user do a little more work to personalise their AskAI before we show it to them, making them feel like it is theirs?"
So we added a simple (skippable) screen we called "Pre-settings".
This screen has a subset of our customisations, but the ones that will make the AskAI most usable if the user wanted to share it.
After tracking it for 2 weeks, we found that users who completed the screen were almost twice as likely to reach our question target as those who didn't.
Now the data isn't perfect, and it isn't exactly causal (the users who completed it could already have been higher intent).
But as data is never perfect, we are taking it as a pretty strong signal!
Are there ways you can make your users feel they have "built" more of your product?
Day 20: more tweaks to our app given we're dropping the finance angle for now; identified user tests we want to conduct (monetisation is key!); had a sick chat with @GavelaMike who showed me the ways of digital marketing; first listen of @AlexHormozi's audiobook. What a day!
How does @levelsio keep creating million-dollar startups when most indie makers fail?
I spent 2 days reading through 114,000 of @levelsio's tweets to learn how he finds profitable ideas.
Here are his 5 most insightful tweets👇
Day 19: reworked our landing page (and app thanks to @jasonnotklein) to focus less on finances (a much higher ask) and more on following through on their goals. Sent out feelers for problems that business owners are facing. Got a follow from @MeetKevon 😍 #buildinpublic
@saasmakermac@1337omni@PauloNoggy Keen to try out the same process. What did you say you could offer them when you initially started out? Feel like "I can build anything or solve any problem you want/have" is appealing but doesn't really get a foot in the door (or does it)?
Day 18: agreed on how to adjust our offer to align with what we have NOW, bringing in folks who agree that they want help following through on their plans (as opposed to simply making them). Very eager to see how this change leads to a clearer marketing angle!
Day 16/17: implemented our subscribe button! If you'd like to try out our app and get a detailed plan, head over to https://t.co/EGwFLGH2Hj for more! @erasfyi
Day 14/15: migration to @tailwindcss complete! Adding new features is a breeze. Can't wait to collect more user feedback on it. Went to a @Level39CW event (hope that's the right tag) today to battle test the pitch and see what else is being built.
Day 13: migrated our app UI to Tailwind and suddenly everything's so much cleaner. Glad to have tests for functionality in place + ChatGPT to do simple refactoring. Now it's going to be much easier to style new features - looking forward to building those!
Days 10-12: fell off the daily X (seriously?) train, but here it is! Worked out next test (will people pay for a weekly email to guide them on their PF journey?); starting migration of app to @tailwindcss 😍; and will be handling payments with https://t.co/6w0ug1IW4q soon!
