It was an honor to host the Chief of Space Operations General Chance Saltzman @SpaceForceCSO at Rocket Lab recently. From responsive launch to advanced spacecraft, we’re proud to play a central role in securing the ultimate high ground for the @USSpaceForce.
THIS IS BADD:
🇺🇸 The worst possible welcome gift for a new Fed Chair.
Kevin Warsh takes over this week.
CPI jumps to 3.8%. Highest in 3 years.
Core CPI jumps to 2.8%. Highest in 8 months.
Trump wanted rate cuts.
Warsh wanted rate cuts.
Inflation just said: not happening.
Rate cut odds: below 3%.
Rate hike odds: above 35%.
If the Fed hikes to crush inflation.
Markets get crushed too.
I've been warning about this for weeks.
SUPER BULLISH:
🇺🇸🇨🇳 Trump and Xi are considering a $1 trillion deal.
China invests $1,000,000,000,000 to build factories in America.
Leaders meet May 14-15.
100% tariffs threatened on Chinese oil buyers.
China dumped U.S. Treasuries.
China armed Iran.
Now: $1 trillion investment deal being considered.
The most hostile trade relationship in decades.
Potentially becoming the biggest investment deal in history.
I'm not the first to say this but the imperfect pictures from Artemis showing the inside of the vehicle and the imperfections in the windows are some of my favorites
Just makes the whole thing feel so real and raw
US small businesses are highly concerned about the economy:
The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index dropped -3.0 points in March, to 95.8, the lowest since April 2025.
This marks the 3rd consecutive monthly decline, bringing the gauge below its 52-year average of 98.0.
The last time the index fell below the average was in April 2025, following "Liberation Day."
Furthermore, the Uncertainty Index jumped +4.0 points, to 92.0, the highest since September 2025 and well above its historical average of 68.0.
Meanwhile, the % of small business owners expecting better business conditions plunged -7 percentage points, to 11%, the lowest since October 2024.
Small business uncertainty is surging.
TSMC CEO, C. C. Wei, on Terafab:
"Both Intel and Tesla, they are TSMC’s customers. Again, they are our competitors, and we view Intel as our formidable competitors and do not underestimate them.
Having said that, there are no shortcuts. The fundamental rule of the foundry game never change.
They need the technology leadership, manufacturing excellence, and customer trust, and most of all, the service, which has been mentioned by Jensen. Well, thank you for his wording.
Again, let me say that it takes 2-3 years to build a new fab. No shortcuts. It takes another 1-2 years to ramp it up. Again, that’s a fundamental of foundry industry.
Whether we try to win them back, actually, they are still our customer, and we are very confident in our technology position, and we work very hard to capture every piece of business possible."
Searching for signs of ancient life, understanding the Red Planet's climate and geology, and preparing for future human exploration. NASA's ambitious and important goals at Mars require reliable communications.
Rocket Lab's Mars Telecommunications Orbiter makes that possible on a rapid timeline.

From the Moon to our eyes back on Earth.
Lorelei Lohrli‑Kirk works on the imagery console inside Mission Control’s Orion Evaluation Room, helping bring the stunning imagery captured by the Artemis II crew and Orion spacecraft back home to us.
One last look at Earth before we reach the Moon.
This view of the Earth was captured on April 5, the fourth day of the Artemis II mission, from inside the Orion spacecraft. The four astronauts will reach their closest approach of the Moon tomorrow, April 6.
We are going!
With Artemis II's launch, we've taken another step toward a long-term presence on the Moon. Here's a recap of the historic mission so far – and a preview of what's to come.
