Just finished investigating how Cowboy (A simple web-server widely used in the @elixirlang community) worked under the hood.
Decided to document my deep dive into the codebase here: https://t.co/pO2PwhHCFs 🙌
Feedback would be appreciated!
@lsmith@intercom@letsencrypt Hello Lukas, Hugo engineer at Intercom. AWS load balancers didn't support static IPs, which is why historically this was a thing. I've hopefully just fixed this for you, feel free to reach out to me via @intercom if you need help setting it up!
@CrowdHailer I usually create a separate version for each update. So end up with two tables posts and post_versions. A little overhead but fairly simple.
There are two major parts of engineering: (1) challenging problems that require research, trial & error, and flashes of insight to accomplish and (2) raw hours of grinding to get something done & you know exactly how to build it. Both are often required to build something great.
