@UMich@Dr_ThomasZ The person who recommended that I reach out to Len Fisk was Gerry Soffen (project scientist of Mars Viking), who was one of my mentors during a NASA internship at Goddard in 1997. I'm very grateful to all of the above ✨
In my 1st yr of grad school at @UMich, I went to Dr. Len Fisk's office and just asked if I could do some space science research. I was so clueless, but he was so welcoming and supportive and gave me a project to study the ☀️ (with @Dr_ThomasZ too!)
Excited to meet my mentor and colleague at @UMengineering, Dr. Len Fisk. Len was the head of science at @nasa at the late 80s. Len is retiring from the @UMich this summer.
@mustaric @aussiastronomer @fergalm@mustaric Get one! Then we can have sewing parties. I apparently turned into my grandma during Covid w/sewing, crochet, and knit 🧶
Are you attending the @sacnas#2021NDiSTEM conference and want to know more about all the ways you can work @NASAGoddard? Come to our booth and talk to me about jobs or @NASAInterns for undergrads, grad students, postdocs, and educators!
@mrtommyb@sethajacobson @PlanetTreky yeah, that link to the jobregister posting is unusual, I think GSFC are just preparing for when the decadal comes out (collecting CVs in case there is a hiring spree) - that's how I understood it anyways. Someone who could shed light on the hiring practices is @shawndgoldman :)
The schedule for the next virtual Boston Area Exoplanet Science Meeting is out. Join us in one week (Fri Apr 16 from 10am-4pm Eastern on Zoom) to hear from many Boston-area exoplaneteers, as well as from @elsisrad about NASA's Pandora mission!

Here's a #NASA feature about our Pandora SmallSat! 🚀 We have a fantastic team that has already made great progress in the past 6 weeks. I can't emphasize enough the value of a diverse team, and early-career in science/tech leadership roles #PIDaily https://t.co/0VhgAQek1L
@CuriousTerran That GIF 🤣 I’ve taken my nieces to Disneyland breakfast, I specifically recall Goofy playing the drum cymbals over and over and being just like this girl.
Lazy critics argue about what @shannonmstirone has written simply because she has an art degree. I have one too. The space community could use more people with well-rounded backgrounds. Besides we (former) art majors tend to pay more attention to things that other people miss.
