@cricket_jon @appiecule I don’t think Mexico dominated as he says. England clearly slowed the game and took the sting out of Mexico and the crowd, it was a professional performance.
Had it not been for a crazy and unnecessary red card, England would have managed the game out.

@JAMvsJAM I don’t think that’s accurate at all. This is about 1) a subset of people having special dispensation (carrying knives) because of their religion. 2) that the mere claim of racism (words) has become more pressing than other more serious crimes I.e violence/murder.

@CharlesFazacker @BurnsideWasTosh I honestly think they actually want to punish delayed gratification so they can control us. These policies incentivise irresponsible behaviour. They must want us to be beholden to the state, whether you work or not all of your income will be controlled by the state.

@sterlingredpill @btcjvs @Keir_Starmer In London I am seeing a significant drop locally. In a wealthy London area for houses which would have been previously affordable. 850k to 1.3m, definitely 10% down. Major drop in prices in the 1.5-2.5m range, 200+k house price drops.

I can do the job with my eyes closed, I’ve automated almost everything about the job, love the flexibility I have in the job, work is not cutting edge. Two young children, can’t leave even if I wanted.

@SomeLatinWord @nainkat28 Just be careful that you don’t apply that protection mechanism elsewhere, for example your hobbies, your experiences, your family and children. Etc. other people can be unreliable and that protection mechanism is exactly what I do too.

@triwats_ @levelsio When I do move, I’ll take my income elsewhere. Most FAANG companies allow you to move internally so we do need to figure this out asap or you’ll see high tax generating people leaving.

@triwats_ @levelsio I’m born and raised in London. A big mis-conceptions that Londoners often have is that it’s the centre of the world and where else would you live?
I would move to Switzerland / Singapore. Those would work for me personally, I have a family situation keeping me here for now.

I need things to work for my family and I, and at 45% plus tax per year, if it’s not working, I have to consider my options and go elsewhere.

I recognise it’s a non trivial task but people will vote with their feet.
