During class I was trying to think of a civilized organization that exists without inequalities in power and freedom. It made me realize that even in situations with no delegated powers and everyone is equal, people still tend to lean into leading or following roles anyway #ewp22

@Andrea12121808 I agree. I struggled to think of a good reason why there would be benefits to banning the CRT and there are not because that really isn't the issue at hand. It is much deeper than the theory, it is about the government being fearful of losing power #ewp22

I like Franz Boas' idea that you can't stand outside of a group and understand what's going on. It's hard to comprehend the experiences of others until you've also experienced it yourself. This is important for winsome disruptors to recognize, it encourages open-mindedness #ewp22

The mode of production idea is very interesting to me and makes a lot of sense. When the people in power are creating their society they'll aim to maintain their status, so everything that proceeds to exist, functions for the purpose of preserving their power #ewp22

@sibredaniel @milezdaze I feel the same way. It is unsettling that the government is trying to control the discussion of ideas. There are many wild theories in the world, why is this one being attacked for existing and not others? This is odd to me #ewp22

I watched Brené Brown's TED talk about the power of vulnerability and she addresses similar ideas as Vitale. She says people are so certain about their beliefs and closed off, there is no discourse anymore. Brown would probably argue winsome disruptors must be vulnerable #ewp22

@alikrebss This concept somehow reminded me of eternal recurrence. In both scenarios, quality life (or surviving) is at stake, and it changes the way people decide to act. If someone had to continue reliving their life they'd likely want to avoid pain and struggle. #ewp22

@StuparichKayla I agree morality is definitely something that can hold people back but I also find it to be something that keeps me going. When I uphold what I believe to be "good morals" I feel fulfilled for doing what is right. #ewp22

Although, I do believe great men may need to break unjust rules to achieve the greater good which takes bravery and compassion for others. These qualities separate a criminal from a great man #ewp22

@JuliaMarie007 I completely agree. I do not see why it would be admirable to act recklessly towards others for personal gain, I think it takes a greater person to uphold their morals, not a weak person #ewp22
