#NewResearch finds gaps in the #ThreatMapping literature globally with implications for #species#conservation.
Threat maps are maps of the spatial co-occurrence between species and threatening human activities. Of over 14,000 articles screened, here are some findings (a 🧵).
Check out our latest #PLainLanguageSummary! This #SystematicMap identified where human activities were harming wild species, as well as gaps in evidence across taxa, locations, and threats.

Bird nests made from anti-bird spikes! 🤯 Even for me as a nest researcher, these are the craziest bird nests I've ever seen. Today my paper came out on this rebellious behaviour. And it's like telling a joke...

Lots of tweets lately pushing AI tools for lit reviews. My main questions are: how transparent is the process by which the AI selects the relevant papers? Could it be a part of a systematic process or contradict the work that’s been done to ⬆️transparency and ⬇️ bias in reviews?
Literature review is one of the most time-consuming parts of any research project.
Here's a simple workflow that will make you literature review faster and easier.
You can master this workflow in 10min.
As floods & fires rise, oceans boil & ice melts, and "safe" temperatures are breached, something momentous just happened in the heart of the EU. No one has heard about it: journalists were present, but their editors refused to publish 🤯.
