Today, we honor the memory of the lives lost and entire families and communities whose lives were forever changed by the devastating floods in Derna and northeastern Libya. The grief remains profound. Yet the strength of Libyan communities shines through, as they have faced unimaginable loss with courage, dignity, and unity.

The United Nations in Libya stands in unwavering solidarity with all those affected. Together with national and local partners, we remain committed to supporting recovery, restoring essential services, and helping build lasting resilience.

اليوم نترحّم على الذين فقدوا حياتهم، ونستذكر الأسر والمجتمعات بأكملها التي تغيّرت حياتها إلى الأبد بسبب الفيضانات المدمّرة في درنة وشمال شرق ليبيا. لا يزال الحزن عميقاً، لكن قوة المجتمعات الليبية تظل بارزة، إذ واجهت هذا الفقدان الهائل بالشجاعة والكرامة والوحدة.

تظل الأمم المتحدة في ليبيا متضامنة بلا تردد مع جميع المتضررين. وبالعمل مع الشركاء الوطنيين والمحليين، نواصل التزامنا بدعم التعافي، واستعادة الخدمات الأساسية، وبناء القدرة على الصمود.
