@lilyjamali I came on here (don’t use X much) to see why we haven’t heard from you in a while on marketplace. Big fan of your work. Congratulations and good luck!

@moorejh I had the C64 tape. I recall that that you had to keep it somewhat shielded from strong magnetic sources e.g. the TV to minimize load off tape.
I am privileged to have had @dmljmd as both my Department Chair and Institute Director. His mentorship (kind, positive, extremely insightful) was invaluable to me personally especially leading up to my promotion to Associate Professor. Dr. Stemler's statement is spot on!
Thanks to all for kind comments! This has been such an incredible ride. Over 15 years we have grown x3 in faculty, x4 in grant $, and trained extraordinary nextgen leaders, and raised the impact of health promotion and prevention across the life course. https://t.co/r99OkzzzZz

Rare photo of Drs. @PMylavarapuMD@tomxliu and Hardik Doshi, our @NMCardioVasc AI Fellows, in the same room. Rare because the walls start caving in if they stay there too long.
Looking forward to moderating "Let's ChatGPT" tomorrow. We have a diverse & stellar lineup of presenters & panelists. Also featuring a high-energy interactive audience discussion. Register to attend in-person or virtual. #ChatGPT#healthcare#medicaleducation#LLM@NUFeinbergMed
I am not going to lie. There were bleak days. I was lucky that Vandy had good psychological counseling services to students and trainees with whom I processed a lot of that. I hope F-IMGs everywhere have access to and avail themselves to such resources.
I spent almost a decade under the fear of having to leave the country if my education stalled or if I couldn't successfully land a next phase/job with a visa. That took a toll on me. I dismissed that fear constantly reminding myself how lucky I was to be here in the first place.
@rasbt @handler_nft I second that. I've been doing ML on and off since early 2000s (anyone remembers SVMs?) and still enjoy perusing Sebastian's books and courses. So simple and clear. No COI disclaimers here, I have never met him in real life nor do we work together. He's just a great teacher!
As #IMGs, we make many personal sacrifices in pursuit of an academic career.Missing family events, birthdays, weddings, graduation ceremonies, working harder than US peers to prove worth, etc. The worst nightmare for any IMG is losing someone very close and not being there…
