Somalia has the longest national coastline (3025 km) in Africa with an estimated shelf area (depth 0–200 m) of 32 500 km2. Somalia belongs to Somali peoples
@agaraad@faaraxsheekh@HassanSMohamud Shame on you! Mr.Mooge - we, the Awdal State Movement & all Awdalians of Somalia are strongly condemning your treacherous statement on Somalia unity & sovergnity. The president nominated such impetuous PM & the parliament of Somalia have to take immediate action on this traitor.
#TonyBlair, the former #British PM writes in his memoir 'The Afghanis had over the centuries been invaded, occupied and plundered, yet always seemed to swallow and spit out the invaders' .
#Somalis share numerous characteristics with the Afghanis.
Somalis have also their share of being "invaded, occupied and plundered, yet always swallow and spit out the Invaders". Somalis did this against the Portuguese, the British, the Italians, The French and the Abysinians/Ethiopians. This is also probably why major powers do not like to see strong and united independent Somalis with sincere and legitimate visionary national leaders.
Just in. Official dinner for the #Awdal#Movement in #Djibouti last night. Official speeches and consultations with Djiboutian officials were central to the discussions. It should be noted that Awdal is not part of #Somaliland. The official declaration of Awdal as a federal state within the Somali government will be announced in the coming days.
First of all, we thank you for shedding light on the critical issue of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Ethiopia and si called Somaliland. We, the opposition, firmly denounce the actions of those we perceive as warlords, specially Musa Bihi and his associates, who are exploiting our land and resources. These individuals, whom we refer to as pirates, have repeatedly attempted to sell our seas and land to Ethiopia for their own profit and greed. Their actions do not represent the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia.
These leaders have no authority to negotiate or sell any part of our land, seas, or oceans, and their actions are a blatant overreach of their powers. We want to make it unequivocally clear that not even one inch of our land or seas is negotiable or for sale to Ethiopia we consider our biggest adversary or any other neighbouring countries in that matters. Such transactions threaten to create significant instability in the Horn of Africa, exacerbating regional tensions.
We, the people of Awdal, will never allow this to happen nor will we ever accept it. Our land, whether referred to as Awdal or Adal, is not for sale under any circumstances. We demand that all parties respect our territorial integrity. Hands off our land.

It’s proven that Wadani Party of Qays-land has no agenda of its own. They copy & follow the rhetoric. slogans of Kulmiye like granting Gabilay a region & ill-fated MoU without evaluating the pros & cons . They want to sell the MoU that destined internationally to a hapless fate because Wadani lack political agenda , objectives & programmes .
Wadani party is doomed to failure like the Qoys-land project. @Abdirahmanirro@MXMaydhane #Noteachone @IranGov@EUtoAU@ChinatoAU@EUCouncil@US_AU@mfa_russia@MFA_China@MFATurkiye@GovtOfKenya@arableague_gs@HersiAHassan
First of all who are you to interfere the Somali businesses? Who gained what and who lost what? That is none of your business. We are aware of it the reasons behind your fake enthusiasm and the lack of understanding and underestimating the facts, values, integrity and the intelligence of Somali peoples to figure out your durty games. Guess what? This ambiguous statement won’t earned your unrealistic hopes and dreams to gain the Red Sea or one inch of Somalis lands or Oceans by trying to manipulating and creating conflicts between us and dividing us, on the contrary your greediness will bring back the united Somalia under one flag including the part you stole from us and that is your nightmares, keep creating your fears to become a reality. Stay out of our world.
The Saparestet region in northern Somalia has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ethiopia, leading to a considerable mobilization effort within the Somali military. This has resulted in a significant shift in the country's military engagement and national sentiment. The agreement has sparked a remarkable surge in military enlistment, with many young individuals showing interest in joining the armed forces. Training facilities across the nation are now filled with enthusiastic recruits eager to serve their country, driven largely by a sense of nationalistic duty.
One of the new recruits, Ali Nur, is a young man whose journey from the Dhadhaab Refugee Camp in Kenya to becoming a captain and leader of the Communication unit in the Somali army encapsulates the newfound fervor among Somalis. Despite graduating high school in Kenya, Nur felt a compelling call to service, inspired by his grandfather's legacy in the Somali army during the Ethiopia-Somalia war of 1977. "It is my time to fulfill my duty," Nur stated, acknowledging the resource constraints faced by the Somali military, but emphasizing the strong, courageous will of its people to defend their land.
Nur's patriotism reflects a broader sentiment among the Somali population, underpinned by a belief in their capability to defend their territory, which is described as the largest land in East Africa. He passionately argued that Somalia could safeguard its extensive borders without external assistance, emphasizing the importance of unity among Somali-speaking people, regardless of their current residence in Kenya or Ethiopia. Nur's rallying call serves as a powerful reminder of the unifying force of national identity and the collective responsibility felt by many to contribute to their homeland's security and prosperity.
This movement highlights a pivotal moment in Somali history, where the signing of the MoU with Ethiopia becomes a fire of nationality and milestone but a catalyst for national unity and a reinvigoration of patriotic spirit among the youth. The overwhelming response to the call for military service signifies a turning point, indicating a robust collective desire to protect and serve the nation, drawing strength from a shared heritage and a common goal of securing Somalia's future. The rise in military recruitment is a testament to the unwavering determination of the Somali people, who are committed to safeguarding their land and standing up for their nation's sovereignty (@Osman_estate 2024).

It’s indeed troubling to hear about situations where individuals are denied their basic rights, including freedom of expression and political participation like Abdihakim Yussuf and others who are unjustly imprisoned for their beliefs and expressions in Awdal region.
Political imprisonment are serious violations of human rights, and it’s important for the international community to take action to address such justice. This is a grave violation of fundamental freedoms and principles.
We urge immediate by human rights commissioners and relevant authorities to investigate to ensure the rights and the well being of these individuals are protected an to stand in solidarity with the people of Awdal and others who are suffering under oppressive regimes.
Political leaders, such Musa Bihi and others must held accountable for their actions.
It’s crucial that the international community, including human rights organizations and governments, speak out against such violations and work towards securing the release of those unjustly detained. No justice No peace.
Dear Human Rights Advocates,
I am writing to urgently draw your attention to the egregious human rights violations occurring in Awdal, Somalia, where Abdihakiim Yusuf and numerous youth, including students from Amoud University, have been unlawfully arrested as political prisoners. These individuals are being targeted for their refusal to accept the MoU deal between Ethiopia and Somaliland, which constitutes a peaceful exercise of their rights.
Of particular concern is the reported involvement of Hassan Dahir Haddi, the governor of Awdal, who is allegedly responsible for orchestrating a campaign of terror, intimidation, threats, and arbitrary arrests against the youth in the region. It is alarming to note that Mr. Dahir, a Canadian citizen from Ottawa, Ontario, is implicated in such grave human rights abuses.
The detention of these individuals solely for their peaceful dissent is a clear violation of their fundamental rights and freedoms. We call upon you to urgently investigate these arrests, ensure the immediate release of all political prisoners, and hold those responsible, including Mr. Hassan Dahir Haddi, accountable for their actions.
The international community must not remain silent in the face of such blatant violations of human rights. We urge you to take decisive action to address this alarming situation and uphold the principles of justice, freedom, and democracy. quote @somalia_toosoo
