@Flyers_Clips Well, he could use the leverage to take 15M or he could just accept the 18M and get paid an additional 3M , and be happy to play in either place with even more money and more control over his future
@bigheadhcky I mean Toronto can definitely beat this with a package centered around Knies/Cowan. + Knies is locked into a long term deal too which will surely be appealing to Columbus. And I'm a Flyers fan - the last thing I want is Werenski in Toronto making their draft pick better
@shaynagoldman_ How would a Philly package compare to TBL? Are the Flyers even really in this or do they just keep getting mentioned because our fanbase is insane and drives clicks/the team wants everyone to know they're going for it?
@avappleyard@NHLFlyers Alex I have been unable to watch closely today - are any of your PHLY diehard article sleepers still available? I like what you said about that one Finnish defenseman who was very offensively oriented
@PHLY_Flyers The Flyers took another similar type player in Berglund (big, can't skate, skilled) and said similar things about him. How has Berglund's skating progressed? Does anything about his progression make you more or less confident about Nesbitt's progression?
@bsbr666@bsmith692 Let's not count the team that's won by trading for stars and exploiting other teams for talent, he says, while complaining that a strategy built around trading for stars and exploiting other teams for talent won't work
@jackiespiegel93@DeanJTanner The rush is that he's playing phenomenally and if he keeps it up or improves then the cap hit could jump up meaningfully. Everyone involved seems pretty sure this isn't just a fluke, so why not sign him now if you can play the rest of season uncertainty into a lower cap hit?
