IMO it bears repeating: TODAY, in the United States, I could arrange to obtain a baby I have no genetic relationship to, did not birth, and have absolutely no connection with except via purchase and service agreements I paid for, and I still would not have legally bought a baby.

@HansFiene I’m at the other end — I pass the peace with every single person every Sunday (smaller congregation), and I deliberately teach that we are sharing peace with one another, and that it is especially good for those who are unreconciled.

@wrowclif Nice. Wife & I both bought separately for low. Those were super reasonable. But upon marriage and moving, sold to buy at the top of the market in not a cheap city. We bought just under 5 acres, which I see as an investment (outdoors!) for our kids. Not cheap, but maybe worth it.
