Today, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Shri Banwari Lal Purohit, visited BSF’s Border Outpost (BOP) in Amritsar sector, where he was welcomed by Shri Y.B. Khurania, IPS, SDG @BSF_SDG_WC and Dr. Atul Fulzele, IPS, IG BSF Punjab. Hon’ble Governor interacted with senior BSF officers and commended BSF’s efforts in curbing all types of cross-border crimes and being alert 24x7x365 by thwarting nefarious designs of counterpart.

As part of BSF Punjab's green initiative, he also contributed to BSF's plantation drive by planting a sapling. Additionally, he praised BSF's endeavors to empower and strengthen VDCs, encouraging its members to actively participate in the BSF's initiatives to combat smuggling and other cross-border crimes. Hon’ble Governor was also accompanied by other civil dignitaries from state administration and Punjab police.
