Lest you forget “a brazen attack” killed two journalists Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Dastan—both Turkish citizens—on December 19, 2024 near the Tishreen dam. A suspected Turkish drone struck the vehicle carrying them even though it was clearly marked PRESS. Their families have not been allowed to repatriate their remains.

@D_abdulkader KRG (namely Barzani and the KDP) accelerated Rojava's failure by placing embargoes on Rojava, and allowing groups like the KNC & ENKS to legitimize Turkish military operations against Rojava. So it wasn't their failure alone. The biggest issue in Kurdish politics is disunity.

@D_abdulkader The biggest mistakes Rojava leadership made was building a personality cult around Ocalan, thinking the Arabs would support AANES indefinitely especially after most of the country rallied around Damascus, and ignoring US officials blatantly telling them their support was ending.

Kurds are being hunted - mobs are attacking their cars.

The Syrian Government and its supporters keep on praising themselves for allowing Kurds to have rights - however this is the reality behind the masquerade.

It must be understood that this is not some reactionary as many like to portray it as - it’s a systematic manhunt.
Checkpoints were established in coordination with Syrian Government forces which stopped cars and questioned their ethnicity.

@iAmHaks This video doesn't show any involvement of the revolutionary youth nor does it show anyone "firing in the air" all the accounts pushing this narrative are vehemently anti-YPG/PYD. This seems like a coordinated campaign and the account you quoted directly praised Julani.

The jihadists with the new Syrian government in Damascus threw members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), US-allied partner forces who bravely fought against ISIS, into the same prison cells as ISIS prisoners. The ISIS prisoners behaved exactly as expected, brutalized the SDF members, and had their revenge.

This was in Al-Shaddadi prison near Raqqa, where some of the most dangerous ISIS fighters were kept — those with blood on their hands.

The United States should take notice. The new Syrian government often views ISIS as friends, not foes — regardless of whether the Syrian government officially joined the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.
