@BStulberg This is so true! Kids need the opportunity to be creative, explore, fail and learn! I can remember as a kid playing out in the yard/neighborhood with no adult supervision and mom and dad just yelling “boys come in for dinner”
@danielpguzman@mboyle1959 I think it’s crazy that people still want to use the single leg jump and stick as a RTP assessment (especially following ACL. I would say 80% of healthy athletes would fail this test. I’ve never used SL hops for distance. Only for reactivity, and increasing ankle stiffness.
@tomnoon89 This is ver interesting, and I found myself asking this the other day. There is research to show 1.5-2.5x match values in a week (including match) in HSR, sprint distance, etc. I have also used this throughout my career. But I have mnt come across info for HR >85%
Just listened to @FootballFitFed podcast with @Ross201189 and @DeelySport regarding monitoring fatigue and speed thresholds. Totally agree that the global zone for sprinting is set at 7.0m/s, is NOT sprinting. 5.5m/s is not HSR.
.@ZelenskyyUa's tv address to the Russian (!) people might be the most moving speech that I've ever seen in my entire life. The whole world needs to see, understand and share this crucial Ukrainian message.
