@paulaaasas I agree! Getting an outside eye on our drafts was super useful - I learned that most of my sources didn't include the "so what". I wouldn't have picked that up on my own! However, I do wish that more people participated. #globalstudies150

When researching on balloons, I learned that the latex comes from trees and then gets chemicals added and baked around porcelain molds twice to be a latex balloon! They even curl the top so we can blow it. It was fun to learn how they are made :D #globalstudies150

In relation to the Ukraine and Russia conflict, I have seen that the comment sections of Netflix's Instagram posts are flooded. I later found that Netflix is rumored to be launching Russian movies to support Russia in the conflict, as orders from Putin. #globalstudies150

The way that Costco sells stuff in bulk shows the American society: they want us to purchase excess stuff that we don't need and make us think we're saving money by buying bulk. But really, half the stuff will go to waste. Why are we being set up like this? #globalstudies150

@Ro_MercedesA Yes! I have a friend who used to work in retail - even though she was a minor in high school, they made her work hours that she wasn't free and ignored her when she asked for leaves. They even made her close at night (being a minor in a shady neighborhood). #globalstudies150
