@CorinnaHawkes@BiteBack2030 Thanks for sharing! I look forward to reading it. There’s now a real blur between junk food and ‘core’ everyday food. I was caught out recently myself 😠
@MaritKolby @TyRBeal There's not much research on "healthy" dietary patterns containing unprocessed meat either. The distinction between "healthy" and "unhealthy" plant-based diets is made, however.
@kati_pai@NZBeefLamb@juliajones110@mikel_ee Agree on the need to measure outcomes and see if these connect with consumer benefits, including nutritional value. Should prevent meaningless claims.
@fleroy1974 It has always intrigued me that a food rich in highly bioavailable nutrients that can't be as easily obtained from other foods, is considered in the same vein as the likes of sugar and salt.
@FiWindle@synapse101@MikkiWilliden@juliannejtaylor I would add nutrient value and impact on health outcomes. Will adding vitamins and minerals to highly processed foods have a positive impact on health? Also need to consider the broader aspects of environmental impact - not just carbon emissions.
