ETHIOPIA — Tigray’s leaders now understand more clearly than ever that PM Abiy Ahmed cannot threaten #Eritrea with war without first defeating Tigray, which at this stage is highly unlikely. Why? First, he lacks the capacity, as seen in his struggles against the lightly armed Amhara Fano in recent clashes. Second, Eritrea, a country he has indirectly declared war on, would not simply stand by and watch. Despite this, Tigray’s leaders are once again calling for peace with the peoples of Eritrea, Amhara, and Afar.

Among the festival’s main attractions are a grand horse parade and various exhibitions. Attending officials include Tesfahun Gobezay, State Minister of the Federal Government Communication Service, and Dr. Ayele Anawte, Deputy Head of the Regional Culture and Tourism Bureau.
