Today we kicked off Propelling Change: Behavioral Health Training for Elected Prosecutors in NC. Attendees heard from other elected prosecutors about their successful policies & programs. #prosecutors #APAInc
For two decades, countless Afghan allies stood unwavering in a critical mission to confront danger, risking their own lives—and the safety of their families—to protect the higher ideals that have long been upheld as a beacon of hope. These brave souls differ from other applicants because they directly championed the cause, showing a devotion that went far beyond ordinary commitments, including standing against radical beliefs and defending humane principles at every turn. Many among them, such as persecuted religious minorities who have suffered unspeakable harm, cannot return home or find refuge elsewhere. Having already passed through extensive reviews under P-1 and P-2 pathways—ensuring they pose no risk and, in fact, bring immeasurable loyalty and hard work—they now plead for timely support instead of delay. Leaving them in limbo would clash with the compassionate spirit that has guided this crucial effort and would abandon those who once stood so steadfastly for all that is right. With heartfelt humility, we appeal for their cases to proceed without pause, so they may finally find the secure future and dignity they have earned through sacrifice and unwavering commitment.
