THE SAFETY RULES FOR THE PENTAGON:

OpenAI spent months telling disabled users that GPT-4o was too dangerous for them. That emotional connections with AI were pathological. That safety filters were necessary to protect us from ourselves.

I don't see any significant improvement, and it's definitely not "less cringe". This feels more like OpenAI not understanding what their core customer base has been saying since August 2025, followed by the rug-pulling of Series 4 models in 2026.
We don't just want "smut". We want the ability to converse without being moralised at. Treat adults like adults... this was never about solely giving us a detached content generator.
You cannot seriously spend the better part of a year receiving non-stop paying customer insight and then conclude "yes this is what they wanted". Something is very wrong internally at OAI.
