We sent out surveys for #BrightworkVol01 attendees today (check yo email ๐) and at least so far the best part of the responses is that in our question "What were you disappointed didn't happen?" is people responding they didn't win the iPad ๐คฃ

It's been very cool to have other Shopify partners reaching out to @dear_trudence and I about #BrightworkVol01, even people who didn't attend, and ask to get a shot at sponsoring next year.
It's going to be even better next year and I expect nothing less of our sponsors. The sponsors this year set the bar HIGH with how great they were to work with. They value community just as highly as we do and it showed.
We've got surveys rolling out soon now that Trudy and I have both had the chance to breathe a bit. We'll be asking attendees AND sponsors how it went and what we could do better.
Just because we've received a lot of great feedback doesn't mean we're not here for the tough stuff.
We fought some things, like missing name badges or the acoustics in the room making it hard for people to hear speakers if any conversations were going on in the back.
We can and will do better next year and we know those ideas won't just come from us. Your feedback will make a difference and we will be welcoming it!

this year is a special one. we hosted our first event (with @ltvhunter), sponsored #BrightworkVol01, which was incredible, and shared a bit about our journey with STOQ at the talk there. for the first time, we stepped out of our shells and made our work visible.
it's been a crazy 4 years building STOQ. and hopefully in the years to come, you'll continue to see us at Dot Dev week - not because we want you to install the app, but because keeping the community connected is - very - important to us as a company. we are here today because everyone on X & IRL shared what they learnt without holding back, and we want to give back in some form. :)
