A partir de este fichero se pueden cuantificar parámetros como: el número de #contigs, los contigs de mayor y menor tamaño, el número de indeterminaciones (N) o el N50. Toda esa información es numérica 🔢, y nos da pistas de la calidad del ensamblaje o reconstrucción.

Los ficheros file.fastq son la entrada para otros muchos algoritmos, como los algoritmos de ensamblaje, de #genomas o #transcriptomas. El resultado de aplicar estos algoritmos devuelve un fichero 'file.contig.fa' que contiene, en formato fasta, los #contigs reconstruidos (3/9).
