@raci2000 I think that patients are not guinea pigs and that if somebody thinks there's a rodent model of this complex and heterogeneous condition, the first step would be to look for evidence of the rodent model's mechanisms in patients, not to start injecting them with experimental drugs

It seems that the #Cortene trial isn’t the potentially good news I hoped it it was. From what I gather, basically this drug would treat ME as though it’s a lack of motivation (learned helplessness and conditioned defeat), it does not treat a biological cause. #PwME #MyalgicE

Does everyone understand that learned helplessness/ conditioned defeat is the working model when you're targeting CRF2 (aka CRH2)? https://t.co/zdymeG1Con "CRH type 2 receptor activation in the DRN is both necessary and sufficient to produce LH" (LH = learned helplessness)
