Brilliant must read 🧵 from @doctor_oxford Why a group of #FRCPs called an #EGM @RCPhysicians, how appallingly #RCP handled all of it (see @TheKingsFund report) & that despite overwhelming majority of fellows expressing grave concerns, how now @gmcuk railroading thro #PhysicianAssociate regulation that really will not uphold #patientsafety Time to listen @wesstreeting @NHSEngland @NHSWTE @DHSCgovuk

I promise you it’s by no means all senior clinical profs & consultants - the #FRCPEGM group v definitely diametrically opposed to the expansion We called the @RCPhysicians #EGM & continue to challenge Huge support from #FRCPs for our motions. Changed RCP policy. Profound silence so far Nick Survey data still not sent to all #FRCPs but link to appalling “spin” slides presented at #RCPEGM was Survey data released days after voting had started Probity & integrity of senior officers has to be questioned Only one resignation - fall guy by looks of it Urgent council meeting 21/3. Need more like @parthaskar speaking up @CathrynmEdwards @RCPhysicians

Please read @trishgreenhalgh 🧵. @RCPhysicians officers appear to have acted in bad faith - the raw data from survey in NO way reflects summary slides presented at #RCPEGM Releasing data midway during voting is wrong Has not been sent to all #FRCPs @CivicaUK shld allow vote to reopen

@mark_toshner @RCP BIG difference in a "positive" response and a "neutral" response. I'm no statistician but RCP's willingness to try to fob of a bunch of #FRCPs with this appallingly slack analysis is shameful All the data please and in the public domain. #RCPEGM
