#Burmese diplomat U Thant was the United Nations secretary general in the sixties for 10 years. His country was under #military_rule, not adhering to any #UN_charters for #human_rights. U Thant was a systematic liar in the UN serving the purpose of #oil_companies. Look at the continuous #militarization, downhill and #chaos of Burma. It produce liars like U Thant, Aung San Su Ki, Slave running military. Look at the trajectory of #unelected_diplomat Khalilur Rahman. An international success and a complete failure in regional relationship. One can guess who are the pay-masters of the likes of U Thant and #KhalilurRahman. If Bangladesh can't get of the grip of civil and military #bureaucracy, the dynastical politics, it's actually inviting Burmese type chaos in the long run. There #Buddhist monks aided the agents of chaos, here #Mullahs brewing chaos daily. Even Burma's erstwhile ally #China now giving arms to all party in the hope that digital scam centers stop in the border. Bangladeshi scammers are now caught in #Nepal. U Thant, Khalilur Rahman's #children settle abroad. It's the poor folks pay the #price of the chaos. If the Khalilur Rahman's are not pushed out of the scene, it will be too little, too late soon like Yunus' 18 months and the Burmese disaster. @ShawrupSohrawardy

I was a college principal. She was a former prime minister, and a most popular leader. Still she could visit my modest home to discuss books, history and politics. She was an exceptional person in many ways. (Pic: March 1999)
