Nord-Kivu : Monsieur le @GouvNordKivu militaire #KAKULE_SOMO, a encore massacré la population et incendié des maisons à #Musenge, dans la chefferie de #Baswagha en territoire de Lubero la nuit du samedi 24 au dimanche 25/01/ 2026. Nous avions prôné l’autodéfense comme une nouvelle stratégie pour permettre à la population de contribuer à éradiquer ce phénomène mais depuis 2021, le gouvernement n’a jamais mis un accent sur cela ! Mais comme vous avais choisie de travailler avec les groupes armés locaux dénommés #Wazalendo , nous vous proposons ce qui suit dans votre stratégie arrêtée : 1. Étant donné qu’on déplore l’effectif réduit des Fardc et de la police pour sécuriser la population , nous vous proposons de déployer les #Wazalendo pour qui le gouvernement a doté les armes dans cette contrée que de rester dans les villes et dans les environs des villes sans rien faire; 2. Tous les #Wazalendo qui seront déployés sur terrain soient identifiés avec leurs armes et soient encadrés ( nourriture ne permanence , motivation mensuelle , … ); 3. Ces #Wazalendo doivent être déployés avec un nombre bien déterminés dans différents villages qui subissent des attaques perpétuelles en raison d’un #muzalendo pa maison car on nous reporte qu’au grand nord , il y a plus de 25 000 #Wazalendo dans la partie nord du Nord- Kivu ! Nous supposons que cela peut d’une manière ou d’une autre contribuer à l’éradication de ce fléau dans cette partie du Nord-Kivu ! "C'est depuis la nuit du 24 janvier dernier que les #ADF ont meurtri la population du village de #Musenge en territoire de #Lubero, où ils ont incendié plusieurs maisons (presque tout le village), un centre de santé et une église catholique. Pour l'instant nous déplorons la mort de 2 militaires calcinés. Une majeure partie de la population locale est en train de se déplacer pour la ville de #Butembo, située à au moins 30 kilomètres. Le bilan actuel n'est que provisoire. Nous attendons les autres données de l'équipe sécuritaire des armées congolaise et ougandaise qui se sont déployées dans cette zone pour avoir un bilan global." In the days that followed, the #RPF soldiers continued their hunt, attacking refugees in the villages of #Kilambo, #Busurungi (Bikoyi Koyi hill), #Nyamimba and #Kifuruka in the #Walowa-Luanda Groupement in the Walikale territory. The soldiers had set up several checkpoints along the roads to intercept the refugees. On 17 December 1996, RPF soldiers from #Ziralo (South Kivu), #Bunyakiri (South Kivu) and #Ngungu (North Kivu) surrounded the makeshift camps at Biriko and killed hundreds of refugees, including women and children. The soldiers shot the victims dead or killed them with hoes. The people of Biriko buried the bodies in the village. Many bodies were also dumped in the #Nyawaranga River.
