You published a book calling for America to ramp up annual #immigration admissions - way higher than they already are. #OneBillionAmericans
A desire for LESS #immigration is one of the main reasons so many Americans voted for @realDonaldTrump in 2024. We expect @POTUS and Congress and @Sec_Noem and @RealTomHoman to deliver on that desire for less #immigration - legal and illegal.
You messed up, Matt. Do you see that?
You messed up alongside @SenSanders and people like @ezraklein, who famously asked @BernieSanders in 2015 about supporting Open Borders annual #immigration admissions.
You might learn something from @SenFettermanPA, who acknowledges the desire of many Americans for less #immigration.
@mattyglesias You writing a book calling for #OneBillionAmericans was also an interesting life choice.
Especially after considering that nobody (other than maybe @elonmusk) wants the population of America to nearly triple in size - ever.

@mattyglesias You wouldn’t understand because you want #OneBillionAmericans via greatly expanded annual immigration admissions, which most Americans do not want.

With pro-immigration, pro-child and pro-housing policies, the US could exceed China’s population in the next century.

Can't wait until he's a citizen so he can vote for higher taxes and less freedom.

In our Uber home last night, we noticed that the driver was listening to questions from the US Citizenship test and giving the answers under his breath.
Asked him where he was from: China.
Asked him why he wanted to become a US citizen: freedom.
Said he practices every day while he drives.
We spent the rest of the ride competing to answer first and laughing when we got them right. Very wholesome.
His test is on Tuesday. Rooting for him. Send patriotic vibes. 🇺🇸
"America will be great when the percentage of Americans is reduced to 25%." #onebillionamericans
Have more babies. Increase immigration. #OneBillionAmericans
When you can fit two whole states of people into less than one city borough, it's a reminder that we ain't anywhere close to being full up.

@mattyglesias Matt, why call for #OneBillionAmericans when you "can't visualize anything at all" & "can't really describe what things look like"?
That's a lot of people & big #EcoFootprint!
Your book is referenced in Joe Chamie's latest piece for @thehill. Thoughts?

@apex_simmaps It can be done, just not with #OneBillionAmericans
YIMBYs always have ulterior motives. At least NIMBYs are transparent
@NPRinskeep @NPR Fantastic news. Also, adding 100K immigrants all in one shot is a great down payment toward achieving #OneBillionAmericans @mattyglesias
Lunch. About halfway through #OneBillionAmericans.
Initial take: A number of the problems the U.S. faces today like our housing shortage are mostly self inflicted wounds that can be cared for & overcome.
The country just needs the willpower & commitment to try new ideas.
@mattyglesias I just finished the #OneBillionAmericans audiobook, but I didn’t hear an answer to fact that there are only 999,999,999 SSNs. Checkmate! 😉
