But in the end like many Medical leaders tainted by #ProjectPA she will be remembered for her push for medically unqualified PAs to work as GP substitute

If only that trust had a GMC licenced NED who would regularly advise young doctors to look after their signature.

But @drcolinm of @gmcuk has implied itโs upto pts to check if the person they are seeing is medically qualified or not &if not to seek a second opinion
#ProjectPA unchecked without nationally defined SOP is unsafe
@Jean_Jeannie1 @medicalmodelbri @chriscraigCCC @BMAResidents @SteveBarclay I think itโs due to funds thrown at #ProjectPA by DHSC &some Trusts using it for part research roles as often there is not much funding for Drs to do clinical/research fellow roles
And as there werent that many PAs anyone who fancied research could get in like the Ex-sports coach
@PatientsAssoc @rcgp @rcgp has rightly said there is no role for PAs in GP services - putting it out there in case @PatientsAssoc is trying to do this after getting more money from @DHSCgovuk to promote #ProjectPA
