As are zigzag lines near schools & crossings. Bollards, however, tend to be very effective at stopping unwanted parking.

@ChiOnwurah 2/ the flip side though is that cities donโt have recreation routes for walking & cycling, so if people canโt drive out of town we need more #SpaceForDistancing measures to make urban areas nicer for walking & cycling.

@space4gosforth @JaneyStone Love the sound of the parks being linked. We quite like a long walk (10 miles or so). This would be a great opportunity. Don't mind an odd bike ride in the mix. I do realise how lucky we are to have so much green space - just feeling the blues today ๐
This is really interesting as if you want everyone to walk from their own homes, then we do need #SpaceForDistancing schemes to make it possible & nicer for people to do this.

It's clear that Edinburgh Council haven't gone anywhere near far nor fast enough in making #SpaceForDistancing. Most main roads unchanged, and new soft segragation is all start-stop.
