💔🐘 650 KG OF AMBARI. DEAFENING DRUMS.
BURSTING FIRECRACKERS.
ONE INNOCENT LIFE FORCED TO ENDURE IT ALL.
Imagine the pain, fear and exhaustion of an elephant carrying an enormous load while surrounded by deafening noise and panicked crowds. 💔
🐘 ELEPHANTS ARE NOT MACHINES. RELIGION MUST NEVER BE AN EXCUSE FOR CRUELTY.
🙏 True devotion means compassion, not exploitation.
🚫 Stop using elephants in religious processions.

When there is no way out, lord Pashupatinath himself will turn into the protector of these animals!
Animals always have higher spiritual connect than humans!
Stop confining elephants in temples!

Srirangam, Tamil Nadu.
Is this what we call taking care of an elephant?
Being kept in a temple is NOT proof of good welfare.
Being drenched by rainwater pouring off a roof is NOT evidence of proper care.
An elephant is a sentient being, not a temple accessory.
Tradition is no excuse to compromise animal welfare.
An elephant deserves more than survival. It deserves freedom and dignity.

This is baby Durga.
At Manas in Assam, she was lovingly called “#Bhounti” — meaning sister.
Today, this 5-year-old is thousands of kilometres away, with both legs chained and a hole in her left ear.
When Durga was loaded onto the truck, her mother reportedly screamed in distress as her baby was taken away on a journey of nearly 3,000 km.
@himantabiswa @CMOTamilnadu - pls STOP this & Please save your Bhounti (Sister) - Please #SaveDurga.

I am just shocked at the impunity of these ministers of the TN govt! Can't they see a terrified child in him who has been stolen from his mom & habitat? How can their fake devotion allow lifelong isolated captivity & torture? 🐘are tortured by bullhooks to control them! EVIL 💔💔

@supriyasahuias And somewhere in Assam, more elephants are being prepared, captured from the wild, microchips being inserted so that they can be "gifted" (sold in crores) to Tamil Nadu temples just like Durga, Shiva, Hiralal, Rupsing and Bijuli. Assam is complicit in trading elephants!!!

Unite the baby Durga with her mother no God wants anyone's baby to be parted from her mother.. don't use poor elephants for your selfish needs..God will never be happy
The transfer of elephants from Assam to Tamil Nadu is illegal, cruel and shows complete abdication of statutory responsibility by the Forest Department, State and National Board for Wildlife. The Tamil Nadu Government is as culpable as the Assam Govt
