@Hlthnwellscape @thejambrican That is definitely a conversation worth having all on its own! Many Black people especially face stigma around hair maintenance on the workplace and even in schools. There was a story that made international news six years ago from The Bahamas protesting to #SupportThePuff

I remember getting ready to take bjc & #supportthepuff was the move. All the girls got called for a meeting and was told to not wear the “high puff” & make sure our hair is well kept so that “everyone can see the clock”

I’ll never forget #supportthepuff . Going natural literally became a trend. I remember before bjc’s admin sat us down & told us to make sure our hair was “combed properly” so that the people behind us could see straight ahead.

How can I forget to mention how the boys of CR Walker had ELASTIC BANDS on their heads saying #SupportThePuff !!! Y’all listen to me. My high school had me sooooo straight !!!! I wouldn’t talk about the other government high schools !!! Y’all had me STRAIGHT !
