Long time Meteorologist Mike Seidel, whoโs worked with The Weather Channel since 1992, has been laid off from The Weather Channel along with producers and other staff as of May 1, 2024.
Layoffs at Byron Allenโs media company (Who owns The Weather Channel) this week will affect about 300 employees across its operating divisions.
Mike Seidel completed over 25,000 live shots during his time.

@comancheflygirl @fog_karla Just above the Pacific cooled air, stratus, fog is a temperature inversion i.e. it's briefly warmer with height and this is the cap on the marine layer. It's the result of a high pressure system's large scale downward motion and compressional warming, of course common in summer.
