Something I strongly disagree with: calling AI a "force of nature." It's not. It is created by human beings and therefore under our. We could design it differently if we wanted to. The shape of AI is not inevitable.

I think it's been a couple years since I ranted about this:
The expression "machine behaviour" is a pile of pants. There is no science of how we will build our artefacts; that's a normative decision. Telling funding agencies & the public otherwise is immoral. #machineBehavior
4/ The study adopts a #machinebehavior approach, i.e. we wanted to test actual algorithmic outputs on human behavior.
At the same time, we wanted to have comparable texts by humans and machines.
So we opted for this setup:
