Wait, didn't private constrn accelerate in 1Q2019 (+8.6%) vs 1Q2018 (+8.1%)? It was public constrn which collapsed & shouId be resolved alrdy. Benchmark RRP cut akin 2 performance enhancing drug while Triple-R cut is legit structrl reform. #SequenceMatters https://t.co/EDQ1HI27oQ

@SiegfridAlegado @BangkoSentral @GovBenDiokno @markets This is why we continue to argue that #SequenceMatters as mkts tend to look at #PolicyMix. The 100bps RRP cut in 2016 combined w a 20% RRR may have fuelled FX speculation in 2018. If RRR were cut instead of RRP the shock of a 175 bps RRP hike last year could have been avoided.

@coil_me_maybe @BangkoSentral Still good as long as they can take the FX volatility & its side effects. RRR cut provides more volume (⬆️M3) whl RRP cut lowers cost. If BSP sells a good portion of their GIR to manage FX vol it will just negate gains from RRRcut as this action reduces liquidity #SequenceMatters

Borrowing the principle from time mgt. gurus, cutting RRR to ASEAN norms is "big rock first" principle while RRP cut is like the pebbles. I hope @BangkoSentral 's advisory committee will keep this in mind when they recommend to MB today, #SequenceMatters https://t.co/uztGBHQnAk

This is one of the major reasons why an RRP hike is the #HighHangingPolicyOption. GIR accumulation is crucial too. A series of #LowHangingRRR cuts is more likely to happen before RRP is reduced. #SequenceMatters https://t.co/CHhmrHPXu3

Cuts were also considered during the March 2019 mtg if I'm not mistaken. "Cut" could also mean #LowHangingRRR cut not necessarily a premature #HighHangingRRP cut which can "crowd out" the policy space for the former. #SequenceMatters

If the child hasn't been taught to form letters accurately & easily and cannot also automatically spell & write a significant number (i.e., about 100) of useful words, let's teach these sub-skills before we talk about moving the child into sentence building, etc. #SequenceMatters

@jseamer30 That’s not quite right us it - surely the child has already been taught something? To suggest they have not and come to writing with nothing is just not correct.
