(Tellingly, the niyama-s in the very next sūtra aren't given this universal scope.) #SilverRule
@ZiikZiiii Footage of parrots organizing. ✊
They call this the: Greek Roll & Cliff Toss #SilverRule
The #SilverRule expressed by #Confucius, "Do not impose on others that which you yourself do not desire", and the #GoldenRule expressed by #Jesus, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", both invalidate the politics of greed / #Mammon embraced on the American right.
Councilor Louie Sanchez said at the #plasticbagban debate: “We need to get on with the real issues that are plaguing our city”—namely crime.
He’s right. There's a role for government, but it's not to for communities what communities can do for themselves. #ABQ #silverrule
The government has more important work than banning bags.
Residents should be stewards of their own communities.
Don't pass the buck to the @ABQCityCouncil. #nmpol #plasticbagban https://t.co/yEnoIoh5Pt
I don’t even want to take care of the homeless. We’ve been doing that and their numbers keep growing.
#silverrule: do not do for others what they can do for themselves

Start Putting AMERICA FIRST!
@FranBeckley @NPLeaseholders @homes4haringey If you haven't done so, you might also want to ask an F.o.I on when @haringeycouncil was told about asbestos in River Park House.
Also how swiftly action followed to provide alternative safer space for Joe & his cabinet chums. #GoldenRule #SilverRule

The subtle variation between the Golden Rule and @nntaleb's preferred #SilverRule (negative golden rule) can make a huge difference, just look back when @Google started and had "Don't be evil" as its motto compared to it later under "Do the right thing".
#WeAreONE Be Kind to Others #WeAreInThisTogether #PostTrust #GoldenRule DO to others as you would have done to you or the #SilverRule Do NOT do to others what you would not want done to you. #GoldStandards Public Options for Self Evident Truth #Verus https://t.co/x65t6xHZB7
#PostTrust Forgive them Father for they know not what they do? #WeAreONE we must realize that #WeAreInThisTogether and we have to use the #GoldenRule #LoveYourNeighbor or at the very least #SilverRule #DoNotDo to Others what you would not have done to YOU https://t.co/x65t6xHZB7
I don’t care what your political or spiritual, beliefs or devotions may be, hypocrisy is neither admirable or believable! #SilverRule

@hvairinhos In other words, the notion of justice can't be served when it doesn't exist in the first place. #SilverRule is chaos of different "justices" (symmetries). And if a universal notion of justice exists, then is translated in central coercive force (Christian nations, #GoldenRule).
5/ The lex mercatoria (from the Latin for "merchant law") was prevalent during the medieval feudal period. The EU celebrates lex mercatoria as the "triumph of private autonomy" (#SilverRule).

Feudalism
1/ Feudalism: a system of governance by reciprocal legal obligations.
- Absolute state of #SilverRule. People assumed FREE to sort things out by themselves w/ contractual agreements.
- No central coercive power (the powerful naturally dictate the contractual terms)
2/ In the decision, by the #GoldenRule, the judges take initiative & bypass the Parliament to enforce principles (of #SilverRule) even against the shifting "popular will" (coercive power of Supreme Court based on golden principles retained for 100s of years).
1/ In 1962, the UK Supreme Court (Shaw v DPP) used its competency to create new law (new crime): "conspiracy to corrupt public morals".
Judge Simonds declared the objective "to enforce the supreme and fundamental purpose of the law".
