Agree, I wish we could just get all organizations to agree on 40 and yearly. This hemming and hawing and lack of consensus make people think mammograms must just not be that important- which is NOT the case! #bcsm #mammograms

If you are a Black man over 40, please ask your doctor about prostate cancer screening. It is unlikely to be recommended without advocacy as the #USPTF does not recommend for everyone, but also fails to emphasize the need for Black men to screen. #ScreeningSavesLives

If you have a second, I highly recommend submitting your thoughts on the #USPTF’s new proposed guidelines re: #breastcancer screening BEFORE June 6th. These guidelines will potentially impact you, your sisters, mothers, aunts and patients!

Hey @AmericanCancer and #USPTF- your recommendation to start screening mammography at age 45 or 50, potentially every 2 years, spreads misinformation, causes confusion, and has serious implications. What about the 30,000 women a year diagnosed with #breastcancer before age 50?!
